Lasagna Love by Patricia Petrusik

“Lasagnalove.org is a global nonprofit and grassroots movement that aims to positively impact communities by connecting neighbors with neighbors.”

It was founded in 2020 in the middle of the Covid pandemic by a remarkable woman, Rhiannon Menn. March of 2021 was the first-year anniversary.

By July of 2021, 100.000 lasagnas had been delivered.

By September of 2021, Lasagna Love had spread to Canada, Australia, and Puerto Rico.

Imagine, all of this started from Rhiannon Menn's kitchen!

This is a homemade meal delivery. All CDC guidelines can be followed. You contact the family and make sure they are home when you deliver your homemade lasagna on their doorstep. This philosophy of giving is zero-judgment.

Lasagna love hopes to eliminate the stigma of being in need and having to ask for help. The mission is simple: feed families, spread kindness and strengthen communities. Referrals are made and matched to volunteers.

When I connected with one of my families, the mom said she was at Children's Hospital with her autistic son getting blood transfusions due to his disabilities. She said this was a frequent trip for them. However, when he asked her what was for dinner that night and she told him lasagna, he smiled because pasta was his favorite.

Spreading kindness is a good feeling! You can make a referral, make a lasagna, or sponsor a chef by contacting lasagnalove.org.
