The July 2021 Museum Quiz by Fran Joyce

For the July 2021 Quiz, we’re visiting 40 of the greatest museums in the world. Summer is traditionally the time for vacations and if we aren’t quite ready to be world travelers again, we can dream of the places we will go. What international vacation would be complete without visiting at least one museum? What will you see on your visit? We’ve selected 40 items from museums around the world. Can you match the painting*, sculpture, artifact, or interesting fact with the museum it calls home? Place the number I’ve randomly assigned to each museum in the blank provided.

*Some paintings are part of a series of paintings of the same or similar names that are in different museums or private collections. I’ve matched each museum to a specific painting in the series and I apologize in advance for any confusion.
