We hope you have enjoyed this issue of This Awful Awesome Life. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We’ll be talking about pinking and how far we’ve come in the fight against breast cancer.

We’ll be celebrating Indigenous People’s Day and highlighting contributions of Native Americans in the fields of science, literature, and agriculture.

October is also Halloween one of my favorite holidays, but what will Halloween in a pandemic be like? Please follow the safety guidelines that will be posted for your local communities. We’ll have a few ideas for how you can make Halloween fun without leaving home.

I’ll be making an Apple Pie for October in the Twelve Months of Pie and Linda Cahill will have some delicious fall-inspired recipes courtesy of Pampered Chef.

We’ll have a fall quiz for you, some great reading suggestions, and we’ll be talking about voting. Are you registered to vote? Do you have a voting plan?
