I enjoyed incorporating Jay’s talents into my vision for This Awful Awesome Life.
I’m not sure what we’ll be doing for the July 2020 issue. Our country is in turmoil right now trying to deal with social justice issues, the COVID-19 pandemic and our need to stay safe while moving forward, getting back to work, and finding a new normal.
I have plans to work on the exterior of my house and I hope to have some pictures for you in July. Landscaping is hard around six 50+-year-old oak trees – they are expensive to have trimmed and the roots wreak havoc on floor beds not to mention the 40+ years of weed mat put down by the previous owners. After we moved in, my carefully planned planting ended up being relegated to anywhere in the bed I could dig down far enough to plant. It all comes down to time, budget, and priorities.
We usually devote space in July to vacation spots and summer fun. I’m thinking the Staycation will be even more challenging this year because we’re all tired of being at home. Never fear, we’ll find some backyard adventures, summer reading gems, and more of our popular streaming recommendations for July.
Alaskan Wilderness Mystery Author Robin Barefield has a new “She Shed” and we have details. We’re expecting articles from Orlando Bartro, Patricia Petrusik, and Jackie Zataweski, a poem from Rachel Bovier and a new quiz.
