Too Hot to play Outside? Make Flower Pens with Your Kids by Tanya Bashor of Gypsy Artistry

Are your kids bored? With summer coming to an end there may not be much money in the budget left for entertainment.

No worries! Gypsy Artistry has you covered with this simple yet beautiful and useful craft you can make with your kids with everyday items from around your home!

These pretty flower pens will need the following for each pen:

5 Coffee filters

Wire

Green florist tape

Pens

Markers (optional)

Start by taking the center of each of the coffee filters and rolling it in your fingers.

Then attached wire around the five rolled filters to hold together then take some floral trope and wrap around the outside of the wire.

Place a pen up under the coffee filters and wrap the remaining wire around it and then wrap more florist tape around the wire from the top to the bottom.

Fluff out the petals of the flower and voila! You’re all done!

You can also use markers to color the edges of the filters dip in water and then hang upside down over a coffee cup to dry before using this way the tips of the filters have pretty colors on them!

These make great gifts for friends, relatives and teachers!

Enjoy!
