Vaping - What You Should Know by Patricia Petrusik

No smoking is safe, cool or sexy!

All smoking is carcinogenic! No drugs brought off the street are safe!  How hard is this to understand?

Soldiers use to get care packages with cigarettes in them. Movie stars would be seen smoking especially in romantic scenes. Vaping was seen as the better and cooler way to smoke. Now we have warnings against smoking.

People, especially our youth want to try something new and different. They think they are invincible and do not think of the consequences of their actions.

Street dealers never monitor or care what is in the products they sell. Next month there will be a new drug that people want to try.

FROM THE CENTER FOR DISEASE CONTROL & PREVENTION

Persons who use e cigarette products should not buy these products off the street. And, should not modify these products or add any substances that are not intended by the manufacture.

E- Cigarette products should never be used by youth, young adults, pregnant women, or by adults who do not currently use these products.

Adult smokers who are attempting to quit should use evidence based smoking cessation treatments, including counseling and FDA approved medications. Those who need help quitting tobacco products, including e- cigarettes, should contact their medical provider.

The Center for Disease Control is suggesting all stoppage of e- cigarettes, refill pods and cartridges. There are been deaths from these products and many people have come down with pulmonary illnesses. The Center for Disease Control is doing research to determine the exact causes. The government is planning on banning all flavored e-cigarettes. The flavors with their catchy names such as "grape slushy" appeal to youth. The only flavor will be Tobacco, which is still very harmful and expensive.
