Steel City Outdoor Adventures, LLC
Our feature of Steel City Outdoor Adventures, LLC in the August issue of This Awful-Awesome Life was very popular with our readers. Charles Graham has been kind enough to send us some information on what the business has been doing since then and what they have planned for this fall.
Steel City Outdoor Adventures, LLC started April 1, 2017. We plan and organize safe, fun outdoor adventures (biking, hiking, whitewater rafting and sailing instruction) for individuals and small groups (under 50). Youth sports teams, Church groups, Small business units and such are a perfect match.
The most popular activity this past season was our Introduction to Pittsburgh’s rail trails. College students liked learning how to get from point A to point B. The teens from the suburbs liked going someplace different to ride and some businesses used it to occupy out of town clients in the afternoon before business dinners.
For team building I took groups for a morning hike at a state park in Maryland and apicnic lunch followed by whitewater rafting. Depending on the size of the group and the options pricing was approximately $120-$170pp. We are currently working on adding trips to Cooks Forest for next summer.
